Slide the PNG out of the way and you’ll see that the text is now traced and has cut lines around it. Click “Select All Areas” to trace all the text. Select the color that you would like to trace first. When you do this, an eyedropper tool will pop up. Open the trace panel and click “Trace By Color”.
